Born in Chester and raised on the wild, picturesque Isle of Skye, Edward grew up surrounded by natural beauty and tales of daring. A keen sportsman, a passionate gourmet, and an eternal seeker of knowledge, he earned his degree in Philosophical Theology and English before setting out on a life-changing journey.
For 15 years, Edward called East Asia his home, teaching, mentoring, and shaping lives in international schools across the region. Along the way, he fell in love with Indonesia—and a Javanese teacher who became his wife. His years in Surabaya were filled with adventure, cultural discovery, and intellectual pursuits, including publishing works on educational reform. But when his health brought him back to the shores of Skye, he turned his wealth of experiences into a thrilling debut novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
